Who is Dr. Kentosha Cody? I am a qualified, licensed behavioral health clinician, with over fifteen years of experience in providing community counseling and behavioral health services to individual clients and families dealing with behavioral health needs. I have a great commitment to providing the highest standard of quality care to individuals, families and communities to contribute positive mental health services that improve clients’ quality of life.
I have completed both a bachelor's in health education and a master's in counseling. My more recent accomplishment was obtaining my Doctorate in Psychology. I am a member of the NBCC and Georgia Professional Counselors Association. I currently work within a multidisciplinary community mental health team. In my role as a mental health clinician, I work with clients and their families to assess for behavioral health needs, provide verifiable diagnosis, and therapeutic interventions.
Further, I provide referrals to people who are experiencing difficulties with their mental health and who are homeless, or at risk of becoming homeless. I manage a case load of six to eight long-term clients at any given time and am responsible for developing and providing home-based care plans, and working with mental health services, housing services, education services and other collaborative services to help clients achieve an optimal level of independence and opportunities for integrating into the community.
My passion in life is teaching children , adolescents, and adults with physical and mental health disabilities to learn to advocate for themselves and live fully despite their disability.
